If you’re recording the history of podcasting you definitely have to add today’s morning coffeenotes to your collection.

Dave Winer, the founder of podcasting, explaines what deal he had with Adam Curry and how that deal went sour.

Mostly the truth can be found somewhere in the middle, but here i tend toward Dave’s story. Morning Coffee Notes is my favorit podcast and the reason is that it’s real. Of course i cannot be a 100% shure, i’ve never met Dave Winer, but it sounds real to me. I like people which have skills. A lot of people don'’t have skills anymore, they have talk and do know the right vocabulary, but come home with no cigar in the end.

Anyway, the great thing about podcasting is that there are no bounderies, almost anyone can do and you don’t need a lot of money to do it. Showbiz does not own the technology, the radio guys don’t own the technology, it belongs to all of us!

So, thank you Dave Winer for giving us this great thing!!!

I found a php-solution in this thread. (Funny that i needed google to find a solution…)

Did some hacking and ‘developed’ my own little online podcaste aggregator.

Its an php-script that generates a playlist with all last podcasts from feeds it finds in an opml file. I simply exported an opml file from my desktop ipodder client.
If you like to try it you can download my script here. You also need to download Jeroen Wijering’s ‘mp3-flash-player‘ .
Create a new folder on your webserver (chmod 755) and add the three files from the onlinepod.zip to this folder and also add mp3player.swf from the other zipfile to this folder. Replace the ipodder-subscriptions.opml file with your own file and open onlinepod.html in your browser. To generate a new playlist start by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.
