Enclosures, Podcasting and iPodder

Right now i’m listening to an ITConversations show that iPodder brought in: Maximizing Your Blogging Strategies from Gnomedex 4.0
A very interesting discussion about podcasting and audioblogging and where it wil or may go in the future.

They mention the ‘problem’ that you can easily download hours of hours of podcasts but that you only can listen to a few a day. This makes it difficult for new podcasts to get an audience. Personally i’ve been listening to Adam Curry and Dave Slusher since they started with their shows and that takes up about all the time i wish to spend on listening during a day.

Since podcasting is booming and new feeds get added to the podcastdirectory it would be great if there was a place where listeners can post reviews, preferably supporting rss, so that i could scan the new reviews of shows and when the the review gets me interested i could add that feed to iPodder and give it a go.

Other subject that’s being discussed is the bandwidth aspect of podcasting. It’s great to be popular but with podcasting it’ll cost you, ask Adam. Or what if your not so popular gets slashdotted one day? Someone in the auddience mentioned that there should be slashdotted-insurance to cover the cost of being a slashdot-victim ;)

A very interesting show, make sure you catch this one. -> ITConversation rss with enclosures
And of course also listen to the two Steve Wozniak shows!
