Wanted: testers

Monday, September 13th, 2004

For a browser-based wysiwyg html editor that i developed for my firm, and that we want to sell online, i’m looking for some testers.
The editor is developed to run on a apache webserver using perl and php. On the client-side you’ll need internet-explorer 5.5+.

Please e-mail me if you are interested and i’ll show you a demo and send you the code.
Testers will get a free license for this product.

Be sure to also read ‘the making of’!

I had som irritating login-popups at the website but you can just cancel them.

iPodder update

Saturday, September 11th, 2004

I’ve added some decent error-handling into the script.
When the file ‘feeds.txt’ or ‘memory.txt’ is missing or the target download directory does not exist an errormessage in human-language is given and the script stops executing.
Also the script wont trip anymore when a rss-feed is temporarily unavailable.

iTunes+WindowsMediaPLayer: download iPodder_js_1.30.zip

iTunes only: download iPodder_js_1.30_iTunes_only.zip

I think it’s time to make it a ‘real’ program by developing an automatic installer that does all the checks and asks you where to install and which feeds you want to be scanned and which types of audio-files you want to be downloaded, when you want the script to run automatically. And of course a configuration-thing which makes it easy to change your settings after installing the script.

help me please

Tuesday, September 7th, 2004

Does someone have the time to find out if it’s possible to prevent the caching of the rss-feeds by my script?
It looks like windows-script uses the same temporary internet files as Internet Explorer. Sometimes the script just wont download the newest enclosures in the feeds. After deleting the temporary file through Internet Explorer, the script will download them just fine.

If you have any ideas, please let me know!
