Wordpress enclosure modification
Bernard and i have been working on a modification for wordpress that enables adding enclosures to your posts.
These enclosures are then automatically added to the rss 2.0 feed

Ok, i messed up and i don’t know where. I really don’t understand the read-me that is included. I uploaded the 4 files,which in turn overwrote the existing ones. Then when i went to creat a post all i kept getting were error messages until i replaced the files with the originals ones. Any idea what i did wrong???

Ok i so figured it out, but now what? Do i just use my regular rss2 feed for all my podcasts, or do i change something?

I’ve created a Python script based off of someone’s Perl script that integrates with NetNewsWire and iTunes via Applescript. It works great

thanks for the enclosures hack! I didn’t really want to mess with alpha wp software, and didn’t want to risk borking my installation/configuration - your hack installed flawlessly, and seems to work perfectly! Thanks!

Great hack for version 1.2. In the newest nightly build that used to have enclosures built in they were dropped. I used this hack to modify the build from Nov 19 to work. Thanks for the great documentation and code. If you would like I can send you the new code (your code copy and pasted into the newer files) for an update to anyone needing them for the nightly builds. Cheers!

hi there, thnx for this great hack. works fine on 1.2!
but i have probs to transfer it to 1.3.
ol is ok, wp writes the encl. to mysql, but i have probs with wp-rss2.php. i get an error in the client-output (nimiq for ex): error: not possible to made an division by zero
you know this problem?

The READ ME says:
You have to add three extra fields to the table wp_posts:
enclosure_url (varchar 255, null)
enclosure_type (varchar 255, null)
enclosure_length (varchar 255, null)
But the code in posts says:
‘enclosure_url’, ‘enclosure_type’, ‘enclosure_size’);
Whats with that?
