Car radio podding

Tuesday, September 28th, 2004

I think there already are carradio’s that come with some kind of memorycard.
Just wondering, are there already people that download files with iPodder directly to a mediacard and directly plug that card into their carradio?

MC-podder??

Tuesday, September 28th, 2004

Since i don’t own an iPod or any other kind of mp3 player but do have at least 1 1/2 hour of commute time a day, i’ve been thinking about alternatives.

In my clasic volvo :) i have a classic carradio with a compactmicrocassette player. Back in 1984 my MSX computer could control my datarecorder, so i figure my windows machine should be able to do the same…
Could be an interesting project, building a iPodder that automatically tapes the audiofiles to microcassette….

;-)

haha: iPod VS The Casette

I found a brandnew Sony datarecorder for only $22,95 at amazon.com
Judging by the picture it stl has three jacks, as in the olddays, for controlling it by a computer. Now i need to find a cable (usb???) and a driver for connecting it to my pc.

You can download the extension via sage.mozdev.org or even easier:
In firefox goto tools->extensions->get more extensions then on the webpage click on the category News and hit the install-button for Sage 1.22

Now all they have todo is develop an iPodder-extension on top of it :-)

iPodder platform

Wednesday, September 15th, 2004

We are getting attention from the nerds!

The iPodder-mailinglist that Adam Curry set up a couple of days ago’s is finally getting the developers and users together and will hopefully get us to develop a cross-platform, userfriendly, non-geek version of iPodder.

iPodder installation tool

Wednesday, September 15th, 2004

Ok, The next big step! Andrew Davey is developing an installer and Graphical User Interface arround my iPodder script. This makes installing, scheduling and uninstalling (who needs that?) really easy for the everage windows user.

iPodder is now officially ‘Non-Geek’!!!

You can download the first version here.
